Let’s integrate brain science and the wisdom of relationships to care for the whole child

Shift from a disconnected approach to a holistic framework

The NeuroRelational Framework (NRF) began when founder Connie Lillas, RN, MFT, PhD, experienced conflicting opinions and poorly coordinated care with her own son.

Today her work has expanded to the creation of the NRF Institute, an international team of innovative practitioners committed to helping children and families experience healthy connections by bridging fragmented systems of care - education, mental health, physical health, developmental disabilities and multiple overlapping diagnoses by creating interdisciplinary teams who have a common language and a shared approach.

The NRF brings added value to any promising practice or evidence-based treatment.
We match treatment models with a person's neurodevelopment and engage the family in truly informed consent.
Our approach is trauma-informed support for the nervous system that reduces toxic stress.

This is evidence-based practice at its best

What others have to say

“Great tool for parents”

“Overall, we have had a great experience with our providers! They have taught me a lot of tools that I now am able to use when caring for and raising my children.”

PARENT, ALASKA EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM

“Tremendous insights”

The NRF increases efficiency by having the ability to have a shared language to talk about stress and relationships with families.

PRACTITIONER, ALASKA, EARLY INTERVENTIONIST

“Efficient and understandable”

The NRF is the most efficient, understandable way to discuss a child’s presenting issues with a family. It also provides a comprehensive way to identify what we might have missed when we are stuck.
